Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT ccTLD is very popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to have an easy-to-memorize domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to give it with coworkers and fellows. The domain extension can also be used for a website, which is related to the information sector having in mind the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is recognized around the world.

Due to the fact that .IT domains are not offered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry organization that manages this top-level domain name extension, such a domain can be obtained through a third-party domain provider, such as ours. Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of different regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion.
